Contract Assignments

What is a contract assignment?

• Contract assignments are extended work opportunities available through IntelyCare with facilities in your local area. These assignments come with fixed weekly hours and can vary in duration.
   
  NOTE: IntelyCare does not offer travel assignments. All contracts will be local to you.
• Below, you'll find information on how to express your interest in a contract assignment and how to get assigned, all from the IntelyCare app. 

Why are contracts important to you?

• Guaranteed Hours: You're assured of having shifts for as many hours as you need each week, whether for the short or long term.  If the facility cancels one of your contracted shifts, you will still get paid for it.
• Higher Pay on Average: On average, our IntelyPros earn higher wages with contract assignments compared to picking up individual shifts.
• Consistent Work: With contract assignments, you can fulfill all your hours at the same facility for an extended duration. This allows you to work alongside the same staff and patients, and eliminates concerns about your next shift's location.
• Opportunity for Full-Time Employment: Contract assignments serve as an excellent pathway to advance your career and secure full-time employment by showcasing your skills consistently at the community.

How do I pick up a contract assignment?

Contract assignments can help you secure a regular schedule at your favorite facilities. The first step is to let us know you're interested.

1. When you scroll through available shifts, you will see a section between normal shifts with currently available contract opportunities.
   
2. You can scroll through the suggested contracts, or select "View More" to see a full list.
   
   
    
3. When you select a contract, you will be able to see its specific details.  You can review it to make sure it's something you would be interested in working.
   
   
    
4. You will be unable to accept a contract like a shift-- instead, you will be able to express interest in the assignment.  You will need to check a box indicating you have reviewed the shifts and can work them, then select the "I'm Interested". 
   
   
    
5. Once you have confirmed that you are interested in a contract, we will be notified of your interest.  If you seem like a good fit, we will reach out to you directly.
6. You will be able to tell if you have already expressed interest in a contract when the pink "I'm Interested" button changes to a grey "Pending Review" alert.
   
7. An CSM will then review your interest and contact you to discuss your eligibility and contract details.  If you are a good fit for this assignment – we will have you sign a form confirming the assignment and pay rate. Then you will be added to the included shifts at that facility, and they will be automatically accepted for you on your app.
8. From there you will begin your assignment at the stated start date and carry forward care!

What else do I need to know about contract assignments?

Not all applicants will qualify for consideration.

• Most often, contract assignments are assigned to  IntelyPros that do not have any DNRs (Do Not Return) and are not on a performance improvement plan.
• Many facilities prefer to assign IntelyPros who have completed at least one shift at the requesting facility in the past couple of weeks. If you haven't previously worked at the facility, you might be requested to work a couple of shifts to evaluate whether it's a suitable fit for you.

If the facility cancels a contract, you will still be paid.

• If the facility cancels a contract, you will still be paid in full for all the shifts contracted, unless the cancellation is directly related to poor work performance. If you need to cancel due to extenuating circumstances, please provide supporting documentation, and we will make every effort to make up the missed shift.

Details about rates and scheduled hours in a contract assignment.

• Rates for contracts are non-negotiable and you will be required to work every other weekend and holiday shifts. The length of the contract varies but typically ranges from 4 to 13 weeks and the facility will determine your schedule. You will however, have the opportunity to submit dates of unavailability once you are notified that you are a potential candidate.

Contracts are a binding agreement between IntelyCare, the facility, and you.

• Both the facility and IntelyPros are expected to honor the terms of the contract. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the contract.
• Failure to adhere to the terms of the contract may result in contract cancellation, referral to the Clinical Quality department, and ineligibility for future contract consideration.
