All Intelypros are expected to take a meal break during any assignment of at least 6 hours (5 hours in California and 7.5 hours in Connecticut ). This break is unpaid and will automatically be deducted from your shift time as long as your shift is long enough. You do not need to check out for it.
We recommend asking your supervisor on site when you arrive what time your meal break will be, so that coverage can be arranged in advance.
If, for some reason, you cannot take your break at the scheduled time (i.e. for nurses, no relief to watch the unit), please notify your supervisor at the facility to ensure you can take your 30-minute break as soon as possible. If you cannot take a break for the whole shift, you will need to contact our Operations team through the Contact Us section in your app. You will need the name of the facility supervisor who authorized you to work through your meal break in order to have it approved.
You will not be able to revise your meal time after you have left your shift.
IntelyCare is serious about meal break inaccuracies and will investigate IntelyPro accounts with high rates of meal break revisions. Incorrect payroll documentation may result in disciplinary action.

If we can't revise it and we didn't take a break how do we fix it?? It is federal law that employers do not deduct breaks that were not taken so I would appreciate having mine corrected. Thank you
Sometimes things get busy and time goes by fast. If I am working until 7, I won’t take a break at 5 (for example). I often chart at the desk as I grab a bite & don’t leave the unit. I take my meal break most days, but on those busy days,I would like to be compensated accordingly.
I will leave soon this agency, you don’t how frustrated it is to be from the agency because you’re sitting in the office sometimes you’re working short staff sometimes alone on the floor because you’re paying some dollar more you putting much policy every time new policy new policy I will just leave soon.
These places that y'all send us to be severely short staffed! Imagine Going to a shift it's 42 Residents and your told its only you and a other side working?!?!How can one take a break?Intely is a staffing agency which means y'all are sending staff to a place that has barely any staff!Make it make sense. So sometimes we can't take breaks because of there being barely anybody to cover!
This isn't right ... I don't know how many times I've NOT been able to take a lunch break. I've been the only aid on 3rd to many times to count there's no way of taking a break, I'm lucky if I get to pee. Also there's nothing like hearing the staff talk crap because "awww poor you needs a break" ... My job comes 1st an if I get no break then so be it... I don't think it's legal to not pay me for a 30 minute break that wasn't taken. An havening the facility call you🤣🤣 that's a joke we can barely get them to sign us in half the time🙄.
I get it...because so many abuse it. I get report from agency nurses that say they didnt get a lunch....while they have a fresh ice coffee sipping in hand... but i have worked nights by myself no one to relieve me. I can not safely take a lunch break. Then what? There is "i choose to sit and talk to chart with others at desk instead of taking a break vs. I cannot legally leave my keys/ phone or leave the facility on my time to take a lunch... then we need to be compensated. But that is a discussion per instance per facility per nurse....again its because nurses are abusing it y'all.
Rarely am I able to take a break while working nights due to heavy assignments and/or staff shortages. This means working with no compensation. It’s a shame that some take advantage which punishes the honest!
